Most of us unnecessarily live with discomfort or pain related to repetitive motions and work habits, trauma from physically demanding jobs, or long periods of immobility. Orthopedic massage is beneficial for addressing these as well as sports-related injuries and pre/post-surgical care.

There can be a lot of emotion surrounding scar tissue, both from the initial injury or surgery as well as often painful medical treatments during the healing process. This is supported during treatment just as much as the physical condition.

What is your "body awareness"?

I continually strive to maintain good posture and proper body mechanics.

I usually maintain good body mechanics, but sometimes catch myself slipping.

I try to be aware of my body mechanics, but have some poor habits that I can’t seem to break.

I have a lot of room for improvement in my posture and movement.

Body awareness is all about how conscious you are on your body and how it interacts with your environment. Your body runs on "auto-pilot" most of the time. This "auto-pilot" extends to thoughts and feelings as well. You might be surprised how much you think, feel and move without knowing. The best way to get healthy and stay healthy is become in tune with what your body is trying to tell you. Body awareness is listening to your body, mind and feelings. Through listening you understand where to begin healing.
